How does GEOSIM work?

Check that your mobile phone is unlocked then simply swap your existing SIM card for GeoSIM and switch on your phone. Enter your PIN. GeoSIM will then lock on to the strongest local GSM mobile phone network.

GeoSIM works slightly differently from your "normal" SIM. When making a call, GeoSIM routes your dialing instruction away from the local operator and sends your call to the GeoSIM "Hub". A few seconds after you make your call, your mobile phone will ring. You answer the "callback" and you will hear the ringing tone as normal and be connected to the person you wish to talk to.

In summary:

1. Dial the number you want to call.
2. A few seconds after you dial, your handset will ring. Answer the "callback" from the GeoSIM Hub.
3. You will then get connected to the number you are calling.

You will only be charged from when your call connects to the number you are dialing, not from when you receive the call-back unlike some other Global SIM cards.

Why is GEOSIM so much cheaper than other operators?

Many of the providers use Zones and use flat rate costs "to make it easy to know what you're paying" What we noted, was that if you call outside of the Zone, your charges shoot up even higher!

Some providers offer "International Saver" packages. These sometimes cost an additional monthly fee or may be included in a monthly contract if you "opt in". We used the providers "International Saver" option where they offer one, to show you the cheapest rates they offer - Still looks pretty costly to us.....
